Ballet Classes

LEADING EDGE ACADEMY OF DANCE

Ballet is more than just an art form, it's the foundation upon which all other dance techniques are built. Our LEAD Academy ballet classes are designed to help students improve their posture, balance, strength, coordination, suppleness, stamina, and musicality. But that's just the beginning. Our classes also foster discipline, awareness of "placement" and "alignment," and artistic presentation.

With our classes, you'll receive early training that's vital for a secure technique, and has the potential to assist you in future development as a dancer. Join our ballet classes today and take the first step towards unlocking your true potential!

  • Our Primary Ballet classes are designed for young students who are learning the foundational techniques of classical ballet. Students will be introduced to basic ballet positions, exercises, and terminology, as well as focus on developing strength, coordination, and musicality. The curriculum includes center work, across-the-floor exercises, and choreography, all of which promote the development of proper alignment, balance, and posture. Throughout the course, students will use their imaginations to embody the joy of movement as they refine their ballet skills.

The curriculum includes continued training in barre work, center work, across-the-floor exercises, pre-pointe work, and choreography, all of which challenge students to deepen their understanding of ballet technique and musical interpretation. Students will learn more complex steps and combinations, while also focusing on developing a deeper connection to their artistry and emotional expression. By the end of the course, students will have gained confidence and proficiency in executing more challenging ballet movements, helping to prepare them for more advanced levels of dance training.
